Your Role :

 

The Production Coordinator will be an integral part of the Mica Pigment Production Team.  This role will provide a coordination function within the department as well as with other departments.  This position will work closely with Production supervision, Production operators, Production Support, QC, and other lab personnel.  The primary focus will be facilitating continuous improvement in safety, quality and cost.  This position will support the Production Manager with various initiatives for daily operation as well as strategic planning.  Additional responsibilities include Management of Change, Lean & Six Sigma, Incident Reporting, and 5S + Safety activities. 

 

Who you are:

 

Minimum Requirements:

·  Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related discipline
·  5+ years of experience in manufacturing

Preferred Requirements:

·  Master of Science in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related discipline
·  Lean and Six Sigma Certification
·  Experience in a leadership role in direct production
·  Previous experience in a Production Supervisor role
·  Consensus building
·  Competent in statistical techniques
·  Competent in Visio and SAP
·  German and Japanese language skills
·  Ability to multitask
·  Excel in problem solving
