The R&D Application team supports the delivery of the R&D Service Portfolio for the Business Technology. Those are supporting our business for formulation in experiment management and measurement data handling and increase of quality and time-to-market of our BT products.
There is a need of additional System Analyst specialized in technologies to support our secret application services and provide hands-on support to both projects and services organization. Key service requirements are:
•Support application services of MDA & APAC user community in shift operation
•Support On-call business critical joint experiment
•Sustain the growth related to our HC R&D application portfolio
The System analyst will ensure service excellence is achieved according to our commitment to the BT user community in supporting our highly secure R&D platform . This position will ensure support continuity for HC business in APAC region as well as critical joint experiment support. Due to the nature of the application we support and security recommendation, production operations can only be managed by internal workforces.
•Plans, installs and maintains highly complex systems.
•Evaluates new applications and identifies systems requirements.
•Evaluates new IT developments and evolving business requirements, and recommends appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems.
•Prepares communications and makes presentations on system enhancements and/or alternatives. Evaluates, optimizes, harmonizes and standardizes existing systems.
•Create and update system documentation. Monitors quality standards and ensures failure-free operation. Considers compatibility of different systems.
•Solves a range of straightforward problems through knowledge and technical experience in own discipline with a moderate level of guidance.
•Analyzes factual information and possible solutions and makes independent judgments, decisions and recommendations.
•Understands how the team integrates with other teams in order to achieve overall objectives of the area and builds knowledge of the organization, processes, customers and key business drivers.
•Minimum of 1-3 years of experience
•Minimum of Associates Degree or applicable experience within information systems
•Service Delivery Management mindset
•Ability to familiarize himself / herself independently with entirely new subjects and thus provide comprehensive and innovative solutions
•Excellent written and verbal communications skills
•Working knowledge of information security and best practices
•Good technical knowledge in core technologies and platforms such as Java, Citrix, Windows, Linux, Scripting, Java, XML, HTML, Oracle SQL & PL/SQL and different Web/ Application server IIS, APACHE/Tomcat etc.
•Working knowledge of Network Topology and communications protocols e.g. TCP/IP, Telnet, SMTP, FTP etc.
•Proven fast learning & problem management skills
•Proven experience of working under pressure
•Good customer service skills
