Analytical Development Chemist

Your Role:

· Developing and Validating test methods for APIs/Advanced Intermediates etc.
· Preparing analytical method development reports.
· Preparing analytical method validation protocols and reports.
· Writing and reviewing SOPs.
· Liaising with third parties on equipment or analytical test issues/requirements.
· Troubleshooting analytical issues.
· Assisting with route cause analysis (RCA).
· Maintaining complete and accurate records.

Who you are:


· Essential: Third Level Qualification – Science / Chemistry (analytical) discipline or equivalent (B.Sc. M.Sc. Ph.D.).
· Desirable: Experience in a wide range of analytical techniques, particularly HPLC & GC.

Experience/key achievements:

· (Desirable: Circa 3-5 years’ experience in a method development/validation role in an FDA/HPRA regulated environment preferred.


· Experience of development and validation in the Pharma Industry.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills with fluent English.
· Understanding of cGMP environment and regulations.
· Skilled in the use of computers.
· Experience in electronic document management systems.


· Understanding of cGMP environment and regulations.
· Proven experience of method development and validation activities in accordance with ICH guidelines/industry best practice.
· Fluent in English – written and oral.
· Good attention to detail.
· Experience in a wide range of analytical techniques.

Desirable: (skills which may enable the role holder to be more successful in this role)

· Open Lab experience.
· Experience in electronic document management systems.
· Stock control/purchasing experience.

Additional Information;

· Environmental conditions: Ability to travel on an infrequent basis to cross-company or vendor training programs.
· Physical requirements: General level of fitness i.e. fit for work.
