Production Group Lead V - Medtronic - Santa Ana

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Under minimal supervision coordinate with production employees / teams and support personnel responsible for Heart Valve Division products to meet production and quality requirements. Performs various other area tasks according to training and department needs. This job is performed inside of a clean room.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Ensure completion of production schedules for volume and mix, while achieving efficiencies at equal to or better than standard.

·        Support and coordinate the activities of the team to meet or exceed performance levels for quality and efficiency.

·        Enforce company’s policy and procedures on maintenance of personnel hygiene and CEA cleanliness to ensure product safety.

·        Comply with company’s policy and procedures on maintenance of personnel hygiene and CEA cleanliness to ensure product safety.

·        Effectively communicate with all areas, to ensure no down time due to solutions.

Utilize materials and supplies effectively, and improve yields to reduce costs.

Produce/inspect product or perform manufacturing processes, as required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

–  Facilitate group meetings for open communication, problem solving and goal setting.

–  Monitor and chart the employee / team progress to standard hours and yields.

–  Foster a teamwork environment to support company and department objectives.

–  Assist the area supervisor in appraising employee performance as scheduled.

–  Coordinate activities with support departments, Maintenance and Engineering as required.

–  Ensure all inventories, record keeping and traceability documents are accurate and correct.

–  Ensure that all area safety practices are followed at all times by the employees.

Performs other duties as assignedby supervisor or manager.

·        Must be able to perform repetitive job tasks.

·        Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Frequent use of a microscope.

·        Some exposure to chemicals.

·        Wear safety equipment based on procedure requirements.

·        Occasionally will lift 15 to 25 pounds.

·        Lifting, pushing and pulling up to 50 lbs.

·        Overhead reaching.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to be independently mobile. The employee is also required to interact with a computer, and communicate with peers and co-workers.
