Job description
Participate in the identification, evaluation, and recommendation of strategic sourcing improvement programs to drive cost savings and improve internal operations and processes; analyze and recommend the development of strategic sourcing initiatives using complex data mining and big data analytics; utilize SQL database to report on metrics and performance measurements related to strategic sourcing effectiveness; identify gaps and navigate projects, demands, along with spend using SAP R/3, SAP Business Object, Zycus and Crystal Ball; utilize SAP ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system to analyze performance results; provide advanced mathematical optimization and statistical demand plan forecasting to reduce overall supply risk and identify cost reduction opportunities; provide planned solutions using Lean Six Sigma methodology, Arena, and Minitab software as part of Medtronic Value Analysis-Value Engineering cost down initiative; design, develop and coordinate operations project portfolio using SharePoint, InfoPath and Spotfire applications; assess manufacturing maturity to identify quality improvement and cost reduction opportunities; coordinate and report components and products impacted by environmental regulations such as WEEE, RoHS, REACH, CA Prop 65, and Conflict Minerals; and create cost down project proposals using Net Present Value (NPV), Return of Investment (ROI), Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR). Domestic travel required (25%).
Desired profile
Master’s degree in Industrial Technology,Supply Chain, Statistics, or Operation Management,and one year of experience in Supply Chain Data in a medical regulated environment. Must possess a minimum of one year of experience with each of the following: data mining and data analytics; utilizing SQL; SAP R/3, SAP Business Object, Zycus and Crystal Ball; mathematical optimization and statistical demand plan forecasting; Microsoft SharePoint, InfoPath and Spotfire; supplier manufacturing maturity assessment; environmental regulations to include WEEE, RoHS, REACH, CA Prop 65 and Conflict Minerals; financial analysis to include Net Present Value (NPV), Return of Investment (ROI), Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR); and process development in portfolio management and system for operations and sourcing.
