Job description

The Global Market Development Manager (GMDM) will serve as a member of the Global marketing team.  This position will support the Group Manager of Global Market Development in a wide range of product and market development activities to ensure successful execution of the global marketing plans in the Capsule Diagnostics franchise.  The GMDM will work closely with the regional teams, R&D, Program Management, and other cross-functional teams in the organization to ensure timely and successful execution of the global marketing plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

§ Gather and manage voice of the customer (VOC), identify customer’s clinical and economic needs, as well as values and benefits sought.

§ Define and prioritize market requirements for current and future products using market research and VOC of internal and external customers

§ Manage and provide marketing deliverables for the Product Life Cycle Management (PLCM) process through all product planning and execution phases

§ Conduct global market opportunity assessments, identifying barriers and developing strategies to accelerate adoption

§ Assist the Group Manager in the preparation of business plans and execute deliverables as necessary

§ Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics.Update value proposition, competitive differentiation, and positioning to ensure strongest competitive advantage.

§ Develop commercialization strategy and key messages in coordination with regional marketing teams

§  Assist in field testing at customer beta sites to confirm functionality and value propositions, develop user test scenarios, and obtain customer feedback.

Desired profile

Bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or equivalent 

§  Minimum 3 years experience in healthcare marketing/product management

§  Demonstrated expertise and familiarity with marketing concepts and strategies

§  Successful track record launching products

§  Experience  leveraging  relationships  and  expertise  of  internal  team members  and  interfacing  with  internal and external  customers; working in a matrix environment

 

§  Demonstrated  interpersonal  &  communication  skills: Ability  to  effectively communicate,  verbally  and  in  writing,  to  global  counterparts  and  to members  in  other  functional  teams.

§  Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively and manage multiple priorities at one time

§  Willingness to be flexible and adapt to changing work environments

§  Ability to travel domestically and internationally

§  Basic  proficiency  in  computer  skills  in  Microsoft  Office  Suite  products

 

Desired Characteristics

 

§   Experience in healthcare, connectivity solutions, workflow optimization, data analysis

 

Education/Experience:

 

Must possess a Bachelors degree in Business or Marketing, and 3 years experience in healthcare marketing, product line management.

 

 

Language Ability:

 

Fluency in English a must.  Must be able to speak and present clearly and professionally in both small and large group settings.  Must have a confident manner in speaking to and addressing members of the medical community.  Written material must be professional and clear.

 

 

Math Ability:

 

Must have the ability to develop and manage budgets and be proficient in financial issues related to all marketing activities.

 

 

Computer Skills:   MS WORD, PowerPoint, and Excel

 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

 

There is the potential for growth with this position as the company and organization grows

 

 

Work Environment :

 

Primary job will be from executive offices in Duluth, GA, a suburb of Atlanta.  Travel will be on the order of 30-35%, with International travel included.

 

 

Physical Demands :

 

Performs light work; exerting energy to lift up to 20lbs of force occasionally (marketing materials, components of system, etc.)  Must have ability to stoop, kneel, crouch for materials set-up at tradeshows, conferences, etc.
