As an Inspector II, you are part of a trained team. In the team based environment, each Inspector must demonstrate the capability to operate the equipment safely, manufacture product that meets quality requirements in an efficient manner, inspect the product at the various stages in the production process, complete the required documentation, and perform basic maintenance on the equipment in accordance with established standard work and procedures. The Inspector is also expected to participate in other team activities such as improvement initiatives, 6S audits, quality audits, and operational decision making as required of their processes.

What is the work you will be doing?

• Operate the equipment safely • Identify the location of all emergency stops • Participate in safety audits • Report any safety violations to Supervisor to ensure everyone is working in a safe manner • Adherence to plant safety policies and practices Quality • Must be aware of product characteristics that impact customer requirements or product use critical to quality (CTQ) • Perform quality inspections in accordance with established inspection procedures • Stop the process whenever issues are identified that pose a risk to the customer and/or the business • Participate in root cause failure investigations • Must be able to complete various forms in a neat and legible manner; must have the ability to read, write and speak the English language. • Perform effective line clearance activities • Participate in quality audits of the process Production • Must be a team worker and able to work with others in a team environment • Ability to maintain the pace of the machine and/ or attain established production standards. • Perform basic maintenance activities to maintain the production status of the equipment • Perform routine cleaning of the production equipment to maintain the environment within established standards • Participate on 6S Audits • Inspector II is expected to fill any role on process assigned • Seek to understand other team members point of view • Adherence to plant safety policies and practices to department 6s standards Customer Service • Demonstrate an ability to read and understand the production schedule • Committed to provide the customer with a quality product on time, every time • Participate in team decision affecting the production schedule Continuous Improvement • Use basic Lean manufacturing principles to suggest and implement process improvements • Use existing systems such as Change Control or Take Action to suggest process improvements and assist in their implementation. • Identify waste on the process and work to reduce or eliminate it by recommending solutions and assisting in the implementation • Accepting and supporting changes from others with constructive feedback all the while seeking a win - win situation • Promote teams ideas and suggestions for change to other shifts This job description is a general description of essential job functions. The work environment is a production setting. Reports to Shift Supervisor. This setting is noisy and may require hearing protection. Smocks, hairnets, and if necessary, beard covers must be worn in some manufacturing areas. Earrings must be completely covered by the hairnet. Overtime is job required.

Do you have these experiences or skills?

·  Ability to visually inspect in-process/finished material.
·  Ability to refer to procedures manual, sampling charts, blueprints and/or specifications to determine number of samples, specifications to check and method to testing Product Assembly Process Sheets.
·  Ability to obtain samples and by use of inspection devices and visual inspection evaluates acceptability of components and finished products.
·  Ability to prepare required inspection reports.
·  Courage to consult immediate Supervisor and QA Supervisor/ Technician for clarification if questions regarding quality issues of defects, workmanship, etc. for direction and corrective action.
·  Responsible for correct recording of traceability information, production information, cleaning and safety check documentation that is required by your assigned duties.
·  Observe department’s safety regulations and to use personal protective equipment as required.
