Job description
This Equipment Maintenance Technician role is 2nd shift from 3pm until Midnight.
POSITION SUMMARY:
In this position, the equipment mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing equipment. Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and facilities systems equipment to reduce equipment downtime to meet monthly production goals. The maintenance team member expected to support continuous improvement efforts and maintenance engineering projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment.
· Execute manufacturing and facilities equipment preventive and corrective maintenance work orders.
· Maintain and repair critical components for facility systems that provide utilities for manufacturing.
· Maintain and repair components for electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
· Routinely monitor machines to detect malfunctions and discusses machine operation variations with supervisor and maintenance personnel to diagnose problem and/or repair machine.
· Repair machines and equipment and installs new or rebuilt parts.
· Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as programmable controllers
· Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing equipment technical / electrical issues.
· Assemble and install mechanical/electrical devices.
· Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
· Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
· Assemble, install, and maintain piping systems for hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
· Repair and/or replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
· Repair and maintain physical structure of buildings as assigned.
· Able to be trained to operate welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
· Will develop a good working knowledge of the Building Management System.
· Respond to Building Management System calls.
· Participation in the on-call rotation.
· Must be flexible to work all shifts, Holidays, and weekends as needed due to vacation, illness, etc.
· Complete aseptic training and be qualified to enter the sterile processing areas.
· Troubleshoot and repair all boiler room support systems.
· Monitor and maintain process water systems.
· Perform daily water tests and maintain all log books.
· Expected to seek help from Sr. Mechanics when necessary to successfully troubleshoot equipment failures.
· Comply with all company’s safety rules and guidelines
· Required to know how to use hand power tools to perform duties safe and effective
· Wear company issue uniforms while on duty
· Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as per company guidelines.
· Adhere to company code of conduct, policies, and practices.

High school or trade school diploma.
A minimum three years of manufacturing equipment – including mechanical and electrical experience.
DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Five years of manufacturing equipment maintenance and repair
Ability to work from a ladder or scaffold.
Electrical systems troubleshooting ability
Mechanical system troubleshooting ability
Strong sense of urgency
