Job description

Provide project leadership and automation expertise for the specification, installation, start-up, and operation of plant equipment. Serve as site subject matter expert on automation, control, electrical and safety systems. Support maintenance training and advanced troubleshooting of control systems.

· Site subject matter expert on manufacturing automation, control, electrical and machine safety systems; supporting both new equipment installations and optimization of existing equipment.
· Develop and manage capital projects including estimation, equipment specifications, project approvals, vendor selection, equipment installation, startup and training.
· Support advanced troubleshooting of automation equipment. Identify and implement training and resources needed for maintenance staff.
· Ensure all new equipment and changes to existing equipment follow appropriate medical device change management practices. Write and execute process and equipment validations (IQ/OQ/PQ).
· Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
· Identify and implement projects that reduce manufacturing cost.
· Support maintenance training and advanced troubleshooting of control systems. Working Conditions:
The working conditions for this position are typical of an office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet and free of fumes and airborne particulate. This position will also be required to attend to issues on the manufacturing floor. When entering the manufacturing facility safety glasses and hearing protection are required as well as following clean room procedures. Minimal project-driven travel required.

Desired profile

Do you have these educational, professional or academic certifications?

Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Engineering, from an accredited four (4) year college or university required.

Do you have these experiences, skills and qualifications?

· Three (3) or more years of manufacturing experience
· Experience with high-speed automation, programmable logic controllers, robotics and vision systems required.
· Expertise in National Electrical Code (NEC) and Arc-Flash (NFPA-70) requirements required.
· Experience in regulated industry (FDA) preferred.
· Proficient in developing electrical schematics (preferably AutoCAD or SolidWorks) preferred.
· Proficient with Rockwell Automation RSLogix 5000, Allen Bradley PLCs, robotics, machine safeties, servos, stepper motors, motor starters, motor controllers, Cognex vision systems and electrical cabinet design preferred.
· Computer programming, system design, PLC logic, and machine integration.
