National Safety Advisor - Sales

Job description

At Mars, we are looking for a National Safety Advisor – Sales, to proactively support the health, safety and wellbeing of Mars Associates, contractors, and visitors in Mars Melbourne and Sydney Sales offices and field sales network.

Based in our Docklands office, this predominantly office based role, will provide a range of specialist advice and expertise to internal and external stakeholders in relation to safety, health and wellbeing, and implement the national health and safety strategy through a variety of initiatives.

You will have a passion for engaging stakeholders and taking them on the journey of why safety and wellbeing is so critical, in order to help Mars Australia operate safely and be legislatively compliant.

Key Responsibilities

·  Collaboratively partner Associates and people leaders to drive a safety culture through a range of health and wellbeing initiatives
·  Ensure key compliance in safety procedures to support the HSE audit process
·  Drive continuous improvements to the HSE Management System
·  Conduct incident investigations and assessments, and support the control of high risk work tasks

What will you bring to the role?

·  Sound knowledge, understanding and application of safety related legislation
·  Demonstrated experience in the implementation of Health Safety and Environment procedures and initiatives within a corporate environment, allied health background would be advantageous
·  A passion for safety and wellbeing, with an ability to drive a safety culture through superior communication and interpersonal skills
