Position Summary:

The Industrial Sanitation Technician is responsible for general cleaning and housekeeping of the plant.  This position includes duties involved in collection of quality swabs, disassembly of production machines, adherence to site sanitation PM schedule. This Position follows a 12 hour straight night schedule with 4 days on then 4 days off (6PM - 6:30AM).

 

 

Essential Functions:

·  Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
·  Ability to adhere to a strict sanitation PM schedule
·  Operation of forklift in a safe manner
·  Collection of quality swabs on a daily basis
·  Use of Microsoft office to send correspondence in a professional manner
·  Active participation in the Safety Programs
·  Ability to work in a self-directed manner with a positive attitude.
·  Demonstrate a food safety quality culture in actions, words and spirit.
·  General sanitation and other duties as assigned

 

Education, experience and skills Requirements:

·  High school diploma or equivalent
·  Basic math and measuring skills
·  Basic reading and demonstrated ability to understand and execute work directives communicated in English
·  General organization skills
·  Familiarity with Microsoft office and email usage
·  Manual dexterity
·  Ability to prioritize work autonomously
·  Attention to detail
·  Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
·  Ability to be trained and operate forklift
·  Familiarity with industrial environment

 

Physical Requirements:

·  Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
·  Must be able to work under stressful conditions such as heat, cold, high, and/or confined spaces and have full mobility to climb stairs and ladders
