Our mission is to develop and implement a category strategy that drives overall category growth based on solid insights and fruitful collaboration both internally and externally to retail customers.

With the fast booming of digital commerce in China market, there’s evolving business need for the team to go beyond the traditional offline cooperation to further penetrate to online customers, which is in line with the strong forward thinking and strategic focus of the leadership team and will also ensure the competitive advantages vs. other companies. After two year considerable efforts, significant progress has been made to obtain category captaincies of key customers and drive internal influence with the data and insights accumulated.

Utilizing market, shopper/consumer, channel/customer insights to assess and identify category growth opportunities for this channel, the role is expected to be the primary category insight provider and responsible for developing relevant category solutions to fuel category growth and the internal/external engagement process.

Key Responsibilities/ 职位描述

·  Deliver necessary channel/customer specific analysis and generate insights with the use of customer big data, internal data as well as external data with proactive sourcing. Also identify learning gaps to assist with any research if there’s any.
·  Identify category opportunities basing on insights and develop world leading merchandising and activations solutions adapted to changing retail reality and shopper needs, with strong partnerships with customers, internal cross-functional teams including but not limit to digital commerce team (account manager & customer marketing), as well as external partners.
·  Provide the account team and stakeholders with on-going information regarding initiatives, opportunities, and category and shopper insights related to digital channel/customers as “THE” trusted “go-to” person as category co-pilot.
·  Support the category captaincy/advisory process in partnership with our top strategic digital commerce customers.development.

Qualifications/ 任职条件

Education & Professional Qualification

Graduate level, with 3yr+ experience in digital platform or 5yr+ experience in consumer product industry.

Knowledge/Experience

·  Owns strong capability to analyze data and facts to generate actionable insights, being translated into relevant strategies and initiatives with business acumens embedded and be able to present in a clear, structured way.
·  Good understanding of FMCG context and retail + digital landscape. Broad interests in digital/new technology world and open to new approaches.
·  Customer management experience with ability to understand customer specific needs, effectively communicate and co-develop relevant solutions together w/customer.
Accelerators:
·  Basic category management knowledge.
