The ROYAL CANIN Assistant Brand Manager, as part of a team of marketers, will help lead the execution of marketing programs and campaign initiatives in the Influencer channel and assist with post activity/event analysis. Additionally, this position will support the development of annual marketing and communications plans, track key performance indicators and report on results.

 

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, and EXPERIENCE:

 

Preferred Qualifications

·  Bachelor degree in business or marketing
·  2+ years marketing experience in CPG (consumer packaged goods) companies preferred with an understanding of the following areas: packaging, advertising, promotions, and/or communications
·  Executional excellence that showcases attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
·  Ability to set and achieve goals
·  Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
·  Excellent PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
·  Ability to create strong relationships across internal departments and external partners
·  Outgoing personality and the ability to function as a team player and project leader in an open office environment
·  Project management experience

 

 

LOCATION and REPORTING HIERARCHY:

 

·  The position reports directly to the Influencer Marketing Manager
·  This position will be located in the Royal Canin USA corporate office in St. Charles, MO
·  Overnight and weekend travel required, up to 25% to include domestic and international travel

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·  Work closely with Influencer Marketing Manager to assist in the creation and execution of integrated marketing plans that communicate the product or campaign focus in all aspects of the marketing and advertising mix
·  Assist in cross-functional organization, planning, execution and implementation of all marketing programs/campaigns that ensure compliance with brand standards and help grow business within channel
·  Write and edit copy for sales and educational tools produced by in-house creative team
·  Manage inventory forecast, packaging initiatives, and new product launches with an understanding of supply chain and operations. (Executes plan modifications and line extensions.)
·  Conduct competitive surveillance
·  Work closely with marketing research, sales, supply chain/distribution, and legal in the development of product launches and marketing campaigns
·  Spend time with key customers (Influencers) to help build market insights and breakthrough thinking
·  Help ensure open communication and smooth workflow between cross-functional divisions (e.g., sales, creative, etc.)
·  Monitor and manage the marketing budget:  forecast all expenses and allocate the spend based on ROI by activity
