What is the Apprentice Fitter and Machinist opportunity?

Are you mechanically minded and fascinated by projects that involve hands on work to solve a problem? Are you inquisitive, have excelled in science or maths, and hold a specific interest in Mechanics? If you are a recent school leaver or TAFE student who is interested in working with a state of the art manufacturing site to learn and grow, while earning TAFE qualifications, this top opportunity could be yours!

Based on the Central Coast, our state of the art manufacturing site is looking for an Apprentice Fitter and Machinist to join their growing team! As part of the Reliability team and reporting into the Workshop Manager, this rare opportunity is a four year fixed term contract, working from 7 am – 3 pm, 5 days per week. As part of the Apprenticeship, you will attend TAFE one day per week, receiving a Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade upon completion, and spend 4 days working with a welcoming and highly qualified team who want to help you grow and develop. This opportunity will start early January 2021.

Past your 4 year contract, there are genuine opportunities to progress your career through multiple paths in our Supply function which is dynamic, fast paced and highly collaborative. A drive for results, a continuous improvement mind-set and a desire to build your technical aptitude is essential.
