This is a sales support, analytical & functional leadership role. The position of Analytics Manager Walmart Inc. is a very important forecasting, analytical and reporting role with strategic responsibility. This position faces a wide range of challenges and responsibilities providing deliverables internally to the Sales teams, Sales Directors, Analytics & Ops Director, and Sales VP to drive knowledge, efficiency, and actionable insights. The Analytics Manager’s main responsibilities are to ensure forecasting, operational & reporting excellence to drive the Walmart Inc. business, while solving a variety of ad hoc problems as they arise daily.

Reporting to Director Operations & Analytics, this is part of the Walmart Inc. Sales Channel.

As the Analytics Manager – Walmart Inc., this role is a responsible for:

• Lead period forecasting process for Sam’s Club

• Actioning to identify trends and implement change

• Collaborating closely with account team for improved forecast inputs

• Collaborate with national demand planning to signal correct production activities

• Play foundational roll in account team annual planning process

• Providing thought leadership, coordination, and integration of data and reporting for the Walmart Inc. Operations & Analytics team

• Functional expert in retail link, software vendor management, Nielsen and Power BI

• Ability to envision need for and create efficient and meaningful reporting

• Guiding the interpretation, use, and implications of analyses to improve business decisions and customer solutions

• Customizing analyses as appropriate for customer and company

• Continuously improving and expanding Walmart Inc. analytical approach and capabilities.

• Ensuring the objectivity and integrity (quantity, quality, timeliness) of analyst deliverables

• Being a critical communication link between analysis and team to provide feedback on such areas as customer performance, issues, learning/observations/analysis, and problems, and to deliver recommended solutions.

• Ongoing ad-hoc reporting and analysis from Director & Channel VP

Education & Professional Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree – Required

Minimum Qualifications:

• Business analysis experience across multiple functions

• Syndicated data analysis experience (Retail Link, IRI or AC Nielsen; Scan, Panel, Spectra, etc.)

• Demonstrated expertise in MS Office applications (Excel, Access, PPT, Power BI)

• Demonstrated forecasting expertise

• Willingness to travel (up to 5% of time)

• Ability to pull & consolidate information from multiple sources

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years customer experience

• 3 years CPG experience

• Masters Degree
