Lapita is a Polynesian themed hotel, located in the heart of Dubai Parks and Resorts. A hotel which is dedicated to families and friends who want to stay close to all the activities that the theme parks will be offering. With 504 rooms, including 60 suites and 3 villas, Lapita is the perfect relaxation point after a day of adventures and fun. Part of Marriott's Autograph Collection this amazing hotel offers five food and beverage outlets, two outdoor pools and a lazy river, a spa and health club, Luna & Nova Kids & Teens Club as well as meeting and event facilities. The hotel's name was inspired by the pre-historic Pacific Ocean people and their journey and settlement into the Islands ( the Lapita movement ). The design draws its inspiration from the exotic Polynesian tropical landscapes, featuring Polynesian flowers, lagoon-style pools, and themed activities.

JOB SUMMARY
Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests to participate in all recreational activities designed Lapita. Promote a fun, energized and comfortable atmosphere for guests. Provide information to guests about available recreation facilities and activities, including providing tours. Serve as Host for live Lapita themed events and activities. Lead and/or perform in Polynesian - themed shows following basic scripts and using improvisation during shows as needed. Be a confident performer who is capable of performing in front of and engaging audiences in live-show activities. Work scope may involve performing basic dance routines, singing, and performing while dressed in a character costume. Be able to explain and promote the rules and regulations of the facility intended for the safety and welfare of guests. Observe activities in the facility and respond appropriately in accordance with local operating procedure in the event of an emergency. Be aware of possible situations where guests are not able to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisor/manager. Prepare for shows and clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies. Must have demonstrated experience in previous roles performing the following: accurately and consistently portray the pre-determined style, characteristics, and mannerisms of each role without any deviation; perform inside bulky, hot costumes for long periods of time; maintain size and weight requirements based on costume's pre-determined size; work with large quantities of groups and children; stand for extended periods of time.
