Job Summary

Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning room, and issuing and activating room key. Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit. Process all check-outs including resolving any late and disputed charges. Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns. Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in. Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors and dispatch bell staff or valet staff as needed.
Responsible for balancing of systems and error log and handling the administrative part of Front Desk Operations including the reservations and accounting related calls. Allocating Rooms for ALL arrivals based on Preferences, VIP Status, Requests ( if available ), Internal Request, etc. All equipment is operated in line with the trained instruction, be familiar with the operations of the Opera, MARSHA, Espresso and possibly IMS systems ensuring quick and accurate amendment of guest information. System balancing of Opera and Marsha & doing Error log at least two times every day, processing Marriott Rewards & Frequent flyer everyday, E-certificates / paper certificates follow-up on guests booked of redemption rates a day in advance for all bookings. Updating certificates number and billings in Opera accordingly, handling of rewards missing stays; compensation forms updating on IMS directly, frequent follow-ups with Resource Desk regarding any Marriott Rewards related query.
Checking and filing of rate variance and rate check report daily, checking of Billing remarks for the next day arrivals (3 days out for sold out days arrivals) and logging in Marsha for full details. Following up and making amendments accordingly, making of VIP / Regular bookings that come to Front Office directly, handling of CRS calls that come for front office department, pre-allocation of special requests like interconnecting rooms, accessible rooms (as per CRS calls).

Performs other related tasks as assigned to the position.
