Job Summary

The Reservation Sales Associate is required to service incoming calls in a friendly, efficient manner according to Marriott quality standards while attempting to convert all calls into reservations that result in revenue.

·  To answer incoming calls efficiently and in a courteous manner, according to Marriott Reservation Sales Standards. The primary responsibility of this position is to be at workstation available to accept and properly process calls when scheduled to do so

·  To assist Marriott guests in making reservations; provide customer service and assist with problem resolution in a professional manner. To identify different types of guests and adjust selling skills appropriately to capture the sale

·  Demonstrate competent operation of the PURE or EMPOWER computer systems and telephone console

·  Maintain updated knowledge and understanding of all Marriott Lodging Brands and programs

·  Maintain updated knowledge and understanding of all hotel-selling strategies to maximize hotel occupancy and revenue

·  Maintain continuous improvement in Conversion, Call per hour and Revenue Per Call

·  Identify and report equipment problems, system errors and incomplete/incorrect hotel/eDRS information to the proper department

·  Display a pleasant, helpful and courteous attitude toward customers and fellow associates

Qualification

·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

·  Ability to type a minimum of 25 WPM

·  Proven record of dependability as exemplified in a positive job history that reflects at least 6 months of stable work history with one employer in the past 3 positions

·  The ability to sit or stand at a call center work station for extended periods of time as assigned in the work schedule

·  Outgoing people-oriented personality which conveys pride in working at Marriott and which is demonstrated by a ready smile and a willingness to assist others

·  Ability to work on different shifts timing to accommodate the business needs or call volume
