Qualifications :

Responsible for managing the night audit function. To be responsible for all functions appertaining to night audit, assuming responsibility for all hotel systems and software applications balancing all outlets to Fidelio and resolving discrepancies. Ensuring all areas are maintained in a secure condition with regular security checks of the property. Answer, record and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions or concerns.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

· Supervises daily night function and ensures compliance will all policies, standards and procedures.

· Be aware of all night functions within the hotel and ensure that the full night audit function is carried out according to procedures and full audit documentation is completed and forwarded to the Accounts Department.

· Ensure all newspaper, video and sundry items are correctly charged and balanced, check and acknowledge by signature cash float and ensure such monies are maintained in safe condition.

· Accurately record all room statistics and Food & Beverage statistics.

· Check daily ledger accounts for correctness against back-up correspondence resolving any discrepancies.

· Ensure that bar stocks are maintained at required levels and administered correctly.

· Ensure all areas of the hotel are maintained in a secure condition with regular security checks carried out according to company policies.

· Supply guests with directions and information regarding property amenities, services and hours of operation, and local areas of interest and activities.

· Contact appropriate individual as necessary to resolve guest call, request or problem.

· Arrange transportation for guests/visitors and record advance transportation request as needed.

· Respond to guest requests for special arrangements or services by making arrangements or identifying appropriate providers.

· Process guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning room and issuing activating room key.

· Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.

· Process guest check-outs including resolving any late and disputed charges.

· Answer, record and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions or concerns.

· Co-ordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in.

· Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system.

· Instruct guests on how to access the internet.

· Investigate all guest complaints and deal with them accordingly ensuring comprehensive reporting is done for subsequent follow up by Manager.
