JOB SUMMARY

 

The Manager of Digital Sales & Marketing sits at the intersection between Marriott International’s digital, marketing, and global distribution strategies. This role helps The St. Regis Macao effectively pull through the sales, marketing, and customer engagement activities that help drive awareness and profitability at the property level. He/she has to develop and manage online marketing initiatives for for The St. Regis Macao.  Set online marketing strategy to drive revenue across all customer segments to achieve brand.com room night mix goal and online travel agencies (OTAs) as well as MICE, Spa and F&B.  Resposible for the ranking on social media, number of followers and engagement.  Conducts all day-to-day activities related to the digital marketing function with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of property’s objectives. 

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

 

Education and Experience

 

Required:

4-year bachelor's degree in eCommerce, Marketing, Business Administration or related major; 2 years experience in the sales, marketing, digital, eCommerce or related professional area; hospitality marketing or agency experience preferred.

 

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Developing & Executing Marketing Strategies

·  Works with Sales, Marketing and Revenue team to ensure understanding of overall marketing strategy and effective implementation of this strategy for the segments.
·  Assists in the development, implementation and sustaining of aggressive solicitation program focused on increasing business.
·  Works with team to create and implement a digital marketing plan addressing production and revenue 
·  Assists with the development and implementation of promotions, both internal and external.

 

Managing Online Marketing Activities

·  Work closely with Sales, Marketing and Revenue team to implement integrated marketing campaigns through regular meetings in order to maximize synergy 
·  Design a communication flow to work closely with Sales, Revenue Management and different operation teams to ensure smooth execution of online campaigns 
·  Drive brand.com room night mix goals including room packages and OTAs (Online Travel Agency) revenue goal 
·  Maintain local property site and brand.com to create brand awareness and drive web revenue.  Work on SEO and SEM to optimize the site ranking on different search engines by leveraging Marriott Digital Services team (MDS) or external Agencies. 
·  Work within the CMS to ensure property content and offers are up to date, consistent with brand strategies including on SOP page to generate web revenue 
·  Assists hotels in optimizing Paid Search performance; engages external Agencies for supplemental Paid Search efforts if needed
·  Manages the PLUS Platform for participating hotels in the area/cluster
·  Executes online marketing activities in partnership with hotel and cluster Marketing leaders (e.g., loading Marriott.com Hotel Website deals, Group Deals, Group Value Dates, email marketing and affiliate marketing)
·  Assures that hotel websites on Marriott.com and global sites are fully optimized to maximize traffic from search engines
·  Identifies hotel-specific online digital activation needs (e.g., local channels to focus marketing efforts through)
·  Write or proof-read copy and creative for all online promotional offers.  Ensure brand consistency and reinforcement in all marketing copy, photography, communications and programs 
·  Research and develop opportunities with partners to further hotel’s web presence and negotiate on behalf of the hotel for new online marketing initiatives 
·  Review proposals and conduct due diligence for all new online third party players and provide recommendations 

 

Hotel Web Site Content Optimization

·  Conducts regular audits of Marriott.com and individual Hotel Websites to ensure each hotel is optimized for high quality custom images, content, links, and accurate translations; works with hotels on corrective action where necessary
·  Serves as the EPIC/Vignette administrator for the hotel(s)
·  Provides consultation to hotel digital marketing teams in developing hotel website modules for Spa, , Events, Food & Beverage and weddings 
·  Manages the pull-through and activation of key corporate eCommerce projects (e.g., new Marriott.com Hotel Websites, new field SEO service, and similar corporate e-services)
·  Uses B2B e-tools to grow online bookings for Group and Corporate business in cluster hotels
·  Identifies and implements efforts to drive online awareness and bookings for hotel F&B outlets

 

OTAs and Meta Search Channel Optimization

·  Ensures that The St. Regis Macao is participating in relevant, approved echannels
·  Regularly audits content, images, and star ratings on OTAs and Meta Search sites, and works with hotels to make appropriate corrections
·  Partners with cluster and area marketing teams to define and execute the hotel OTA merchandising plan(s)
·  Identifies and executes hotel/cluster/area OTA marketing and merchandising tactics as needed (e.g. Agoda newsletter, Expedia TravelAds, etc.)
·  May also co-manage soft-dollar marketing budget for domestic OTAs with the AP eDistribution Team
·  Builds strong domestic relationships with the top 2-3 OTA partners
·  Collaborates with hotel and regional Revenue Leaders to review hotel performance on eChannels

 

Analyzing & Reporting on Sales and Financial Data

·  Analyzes market information and implements strategy to achieve property’s goals.
·  Consistently responds to reviews and monitor progress
·  Provide monthly and quarterly analysis including performance or campaigns and channels, along with return on investment statistics. Maximise and optimize the performance of all marketing channels based on these results 
·  Prepare monthly digital marketing report including social media to be submitted within the 2 nd week of the following month 
·  Prepare, review and evaluate proposals for innovative programs, contests and games and prepares post campaign reports
·  Monitor digital budget and ensuring that funds are allocated properly to generate the highest returns

·  Foster a professional and respectful working environment for both internal and external stakeholders by setting clear and distinct guidelines for team member behavior 
·  Works collaboratively with regional and divisional teams to ensure that the property needs are being achieved and the marketing efforts are complementary, not duplicative
·  Actively seek out and exchange best practice globally by establishing open, direct relationship with regional and continent online team
·  Works with PR, Revenue, F&B and MICE teams to provide digital marketing support 
·  Adapt an efficient and professional approach to work with various vendors and advertising agency 
·  Work with sister properties in the region and global on online programs and media campaigns
·  Response for the performance and development of Manager, Assistant Managers and Executive in the digital team
