To assist us in maintaining our reputation for outstanding customer service, we are currently seeking an enthusiastic Part Time Maintenance Officer to join our Engineering Team.

Job Description

If you have experience in General Maintenance we would love to hear from you. As our Maintenance Officer you will be responsible for performing general maintenance duties and repairs around the Hotel. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to);

·  Guest complaints response
·  Inspection of public spaces and guest rooms following Starwood guidelines as per our Room Inspection program
·  Preventative maintenance checks
·  Inspect and replace lighting in public spaces, plant rooms, fire exits and carparks

· Meter readings

· Assisting Tradesman as required

· General Repairs & Maintenance

· Assist in ensuring that guest and staff maintenance requests are attended to efficiently, with minimal disturbance or impact to the day to day operations of the hotel

· To complete a wide range of handyperson/fix jobs throughout the hotel without supervision and with diligence

· To proactively identify property operating issues within venue's, back of house and front of house to resolve with a "hands on" attitude'

· To prioritize tasks in order to maximise productivity

· To liaise with all staff in order to gain information and execute the task effectively

· Ensure safety management is appropriately instituted to reduce the risk of accident or incident

· To utilise and maintain all equipment and machinery correctly and safely

· To support the Maintenance Manager in implementing best practices and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)

· Perform a daily walk through of all areas of the hotel inside and out to ensure that all plant and equipment is functioning and the hotel is maintained.

Requirements

Previous experience within a building or maintenance environment would be preferable. Flexibility with working hours, ability to work unsupervised and an exceptional eye for detail are key requirements of this role. You will be required to work a rotating roster including, nights, weekends and public holidays.
