As an Assistant Manager you will have a significant impact on the customer and employee experience. Assistant Managers will ensure that the service of all employees is fast, friendly and upbeat. Assistant Managers will make customers comfortable in a lively, magnetic and fast paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
·  Manages employees during their shifts, and demonstrates great teamwork by cooperating and assisting co-workers and sets a positive example for guest relations.
·  Assures high quality of service and product by assisting the Manager in managing the restaurant, bar, patio, coffee Bar and Room Service
·  Is always trying to improve the efficiency of the operation through well thought out processes and procedures
·  Provides value added service to customers by doing whatever reasonable and possible to meet or exceed customer expectations
·  Communicates effectively with customers, co-workers, and Managers
·  Handles difficult situations effectively
·  Demonstrates extensive product knowledge of both food and beverage, with the ability to address allergy & dietary concerns. Trains employees to bring menu items alive with a thorough description of ingredients and preparation methods.
·  Ensures that product served is in accordance with the LURE Restaurant & Bar standards by inspecting food presentation and ensuring that associates utilize proper serving techniques
·  Assists in the establishing of menus and special promotions
·  Ensures that the Restaurant is in neat and orderly condition at all times
·  Responds to customer inquiries and provides customers with quality service by monitoring employees assignments, responsiveness and provides direction for employees
·  Participation in monthly communication meetings and attends other meetings as required
·  Adheres to Restaurant policies and procedures, and follows restaurant grooming and dress standards
·  Attends work on time as scheduled must be available for all shifts including weekends
·  Minimizes safety hazards and ensures staff are trained on emergency procedures
·  Keeps immediate Manager promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance
·  Maintains a favorable working relationship with the culinary team and all other company employees and promotes a cooperative and harmonious working climate
·  Performs administrative duties such as payroll, managing reservations
·  Coordinates schedule and staffing for assigned shifts
·  Utilizes leadership skills and motivation techniques in order to maximize employee productivity and satisfaction of direct reports
·  Determines, communicates, and monitors achievement of standards of performance on a timely basis and employs respectful coaching as required. Implements corrective action plans when required.
·  Monitors industry trends and makes recommendations as appropriate for improving competitive status of the restaurant and bar
·  Other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
·  Must be available to work a variety of shifts including weekends
·  A minimum of 3 years Food & Beverage experience with some Management or Assistant Manager experience in a high volume work environment.
·  Must possess strong team building skills
·  Post-secondary education in hospitality or business management an asset.
·  Must have Serving it Right certificate and be legally able to serve Alcohol according to BC requirements
·  Must have a certificate in the safe handling of food (Foodsafe-Basic).
·  Must have good knowledge of food, wines and menu terminology.
·  Keen eye for detail and never settles for mediocre.
·  Focused on Revenue generation and profitability
·  You must be friendly and upbeat and you must have a smile at all times.
·  Exceptional interpersonal, communication and guest service skills to enhance the presentation and service standards.
·  Strong problem resolution skills.
·  Will be a dedicated, keen and self disciplined individual with a sincere desire to provide excellent customer service within a high volume environment while maintaining a motivated and organized environment for fellow employees.
·  Good working knowledge of Micros POS system, Microsoft Excel and Word required.
·  Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
·  A security check will be required for this position.
