Qualifications :

Experience:
· Previous experience working within a similar environment preferred but not essential
Skills and Knowledge
· Strong Communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
· Innovative
· Pro-active and reliable
· Able to work alone and within a team
· Retail experience, preferably within a Golf environment.
· Level of general education to degree standard or equivalent.
· Customer service skills Computer Skills
· Knowledge of the game of golf and course etiquette
· Administration/reception training or background
· Knowledge of the game of golf

SPECIFIC DUTIES
The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

·  To achieve designated Hotel profit margins by generating turnover against cost of sales.
·  To ensure that all areas of the golf operation function smoothly and in accordance with the standards laid out within the Marriott Golf Audit and other relevant SOPs.
·  To be responsible for the satisfaction of all golfers.
·  To ensure the successful running of all golf days, members events and golf social events; to be the host to all organisers and ensure attention to detail at all times.
·  To liaise effectively with all relevant departments and Golf Events and Meeting Manager, to ensure successful hosting of golf days and golf breaks
·  To be responsible for the all members' events, competitions and bookings, including handicap maintenance. To organise catering requirements wherever necessary
·  To ensure effective planning and hosting of membership social activities, including liaison with captains and committees.
·  To ensure all event orders are presented to departments with exact, fully comprehensive details at all times.
·  To ensure that all golf bookings are correctly inputted into Concept booking system, and that revenue is processed correctly.
·  To be responsible for the day-to-day management of tee times.
·  To ensure that all information required by the central golf function is provided and to communicate all relevant information received from the central golf function.
·  To perform all banking as required and in line with cash handling policy
·  Proactively research the golf and leisure market in order to keep up to date with current trends and activities.
·  To proactively target all areas of the business and create sales initiatives, implementing these across all areas of the golf business
·  To promote and generate membership leads and sales in line with sales annual targets for both golf and leisure.
·  To generate targeted sales directives in line with annual sales plans.
·  To manage golf membership sales and actions, targeting both individual and corporate membership sales and retention
·  To ensure golf marketing strategies are created and implemented in a timely manner.
·  To produce marketing collateral in accordance with department goals and strategy.
·  To attend and represent Breadsall Priory at any sales promotions undergone annually.
·  Support the Golf Shop and Operations when needed
