We are currently seeking a new team member as an Assistant Front Office Manager at Orlando Airport Marriott Lakeside.

Our property, located by one of the busiest airports in the country, offers 485 guest rooms , approximately 30.000 square feet meeting space along with resort-like amenities such as an outdoor pool, pool bar and several food and beverage outlets including a full service restaurant, coffee shop and a concierge lounge reserved for our valued frequent travelers and VIP guests.

As the Assistant Front Office Manager the primary role of the individual will be assisting the Front Office Manager in running the operations and functioning as a Manager on Duty during PM shifts as required.

Some of the responsibilities of the position are;

·  Responsible for the effective daily operation of the front office. Including; training and development, performance management and scheduling.
·  Accountable for maximizing revenue and inventory management. Including constant communication with sales and reservations, development of staff incentives, etc.
·  Initiates actions to improve the department Guest Service Scores.
·  Develops a strong team spirit amongst co-workers and line employees. Including; empowerment, team building, performance development, coaching/counseling and coordinating monthly staff meetings.
·  Maintains and enhances the hotel image amongst staff and other departments. Fosters an atmosphere of inter and intra departmental relations, focusing on team work and co-operation.
·  Administers new hire and on-going training/development to line staff. This includes development of training plans and conducting performance evaluations
·  Provides fair development opportunities through; skills training, job shadowing cross-training, etc. Prepares departmental succession plans, identifying training needs.
·  Supports and initiates superior employee relations through development of action plans, one-on-one coaching/counseling sessions and continuous recognition of employee performance.
·  Oversees group arrivals, including; pre-assigning rooms, pre-keying, ensuring availability of special requests and reviewing resumes.
·  Acts as the hotel management representative when dealing with guest complaints and concerns, VIP and dignitary functions and crisis management events
·  Applicants with previous full service Marriott/PMS/Marsha experience will be prioritized.
·  Two or more years of a leadership experience in a full service hotel

Must have flexible work schedule. Able to work all shifts, days, holidays. Primary shift will be 3pm -11pm

·  Excellent organizational skills
·  Strong communication skills - oral and written, excellent interpersonal and relation skills
·  Ability to remain calm under pressure with good attention to detail
·  Ability to stand for long periods of time
·  Experience with Marriott PMS system an asset
·  Interested in solid long term position or rapid career growth
