Job Summary

As a Food and Beverage Associate you will be expected to have a wide range of product knowledge in order to recommend specific dishes to guests and also inform guests of any allergen/dietary information required. You will be representing Marriott at all times and in all areas which requires you to provide a high standard of customer service at all times. Your role as a Food and Beverage Associate will consist of completing opening and closing duties, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations, locking refrigerators, restocking items, completing daily cleaning checklists, taking food and drink orders, serving guests and using the Micros till system. You will be required to set up the bar and restaurant as per the daily briefing, replenish stock, ensure the still, back of house areas and Room Service areas are tidy and that the method of clean as you go is put into practise. A Food and Beverage duty will be to maximise sales and upsell on both food and beverages wherever possible. Working in a front of house area you will be a go to point for many guests and it's crucial that you are competent to deal with customer queries in order to answer questions and resolve any issues immediately by making full use of the guest response procedures. As a Food and Beverage Associate communication will be a vital part of the role as you will be expected to liaise with guests on a daily basis to advise them of various meals and locations. You will also have to communicate effectively internally as you will be expected to keep other outlets and departments on site up to date with any information regarding guests.

Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards. Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
