JOB SUMMARY
The Finance & Accounting Intern will report to the Accounting Manager. The successful candidate must have strong analytical, organizational & communication skills, an excellent approach to customer services as well as exhibit flexibility. He/ She must have strong technical skills and knowledge of Excel to the intermediate level. Knowledge of Accounting systems and MS Office packages is preferred.
SCOPE
The Finance & Accounting Intern provides support / is responsible for:
· Location requirements: The Finance & Accounting Intern to be located at the Europe Office London.
· Language Requirements: High proficiency (speaking, reading and writing) in English is required.
· Travel Requirements: There is a 0 % business travel required.
EXPECTED CONTRIBUTION
Accounts Payable and Receivable
· Dealing with daily invoices, processing weekly dispatches to third party scanning firm.
· Invoice coding.
· Entry of invoices into Accounts Payable for certain non-UK countries.
· Production of monthly invoices.
General Ledger and Balance Sheet
· Assist with monthly journal process by producing and loading journals to the ledger.
· Assist the Corporate Statutory Accountant Team with non-UK ledger entries.
· Collate back-up for Balance Sheet reconciliations.
· Assist in the quarterly Balance Sheet certification process.
· The verification and upload of DOFTBs to the Ledger'.
Bank and Cash
· Assist with any process administration and the collation of data for relevant reports.
· Consolidate back-up for bank transactions and reconciliations.
· Preparation of payments to various Tax Authorities.
Tax
· Assist with any process administration and the collation of data for relevant reports.
· Consolidate back-up for VAT returns.
· Data entry into Tax database.
Others
· Performs other related tasks as assigned by management
· Complies with Marriott Hotel Holding GmbH and Marriott International policies and procedures as well as with local office SOP's.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
REQUIRED :
· Previous office based administration work experience preferred.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
· Strong communication skills (verbal, writing, listening).
· Previous user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint -Essential and Outlook preferred
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy of spelling and grammar, layout and content formation essential
· Highly organized and efficient approach required.
· Ability to manage varying needs and prioritizing to ensure best business results.
· Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner.
Education and Professional Certification:
· A level or equivalent education standard required; degree education preferred.
· Demonstrated pursuit of career in Hospitality and/or Finance & Accounting preferred.
