Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Titan Hotel Group. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.  The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.  If you accept a position at this hotel you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

Titan Hotel Group, a growing hotel management company, is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Director of Sales for the Courtyard by Marriott New Castle.

Position Summary:
This individual is responsible for selling the total hotel(s) through active involvement in rooms and catering merchandising efforts. This position requires active participation in the direct sales efforts. The Director of Sales is also expected to have direct involvement with guests and employees, as well as participate in community activities. This is a position requiring active, vigorous leadership and foresight.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for overall account management, business generation, and sales prospecting for assigned hotel property.
Responds to all sales inquiries in a timely manner and with a sense of urgency.
Develops and maintains marketing plan and sales budget with the Vice President of Sales.
Provides sales training to staff of hotel as applicable.
Participates in Revenue Management strategies using such tools as Star reports, demand analysis and applicable front office systems.
Schedules and completes sales appointments.
Conducts a required number of sales activities including telemarketing, cold calls, e-mailing and prospecting.
Manage existing and new client relationships, support revenue management efforts and work with all hotel departments to deliver a positive experience for the guests and groups.
Responsible for completing sales functions of the assigned hotel including soliciting accounts to meet or exceed hotel revenue goals.
Organizes, maintains, and tracks sales data.
Completes requests of General Manager and other management personnel, as applicable.
May supervise Sales Manager position in the future. Duties include selection, training, development, and appraising performance as well as planning and directing work assignments of personnel.
Other duties as assigned.
Comply with attendance and all other policies outlined in the employee handbook.

Experience with FOSSE, MARSHA and STS preferred.
Ability to interpret and perform basic computer functions, including MS Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience with STS is preferred.
Two years minimum Hotels Sales experience with Marriott preferred.
Strong Hotel Sales experience required.
Proficiency in Revenue Management strategies.
