POSITION SUMMARY

The Desktop Support Analyst will report to the IT Field Operations Manager (Offices)
Provides Tier1 and Tier2 remote and desk side IT support to associates within the Cedar House Central services office and the Paris Regional Office including remote support to associates who are field based. Ensures the stability of the network and file and print environment in Cedar House and Paris whilst maintaining MAARK1 compliance for all office location shared servers and switches desktops and laptops in conjunction with the rest of the team members. Provides onsite Holiday cover for other offices in Europe on adhoc basis. Provides project support for manager where required and for all centrally delivered projects.

SCOPE

The Desktop Support Analyst provides support / is responsible for:
· Location requirements: The Desktop Support Analyst to be located at the Luton office.
· Language Requirements: High proficiency (speaking, reading and writing) in English is required.
· Travel Requirements: There is business travel required for adhoc support/cover for Eschborn/Paris/London offices (4.5% 21 days a year)

CANDIDATE PROFILE

REQUIRED :
·  Previous experience of an in-sourced desktop and server support environment desired
·  Working knowledge of Marriott security policies
·  Proven experience in customer service process and demonstrable aptitude
·  Project management

·  Responds to associate phone calls and personal approach for IT services across multiple locations in Europe
·  Logs all support requests within the problem management system (Sysaid).
·  Supports Moves Adds and Changes for associates including:

·  Transfers
·  New equipment commissioning including
·  Laptops
·  Desktops
·  Monitors
·  Iphones
·  Ipads
·  Avaya telephones
·  Servers
·  Switches
·  Manage and maintain London and Corks desktops, laptops and servers and printers
·  LTNCH
·  166 Desktops/Laptops (potential increase of 15 more machines with Starwood Acquisition)

·  Remote support for the Paris office and Cork office

·  Management of all application and network access through the management of the ID creation process (Active Directory)
·  Management of all third party suppliers and internal suppliers.
·  Management of the Avaya telephone system in the Luton office including voicemail
·  Ensure backup policy is in place for desktops/laptop either via Druva or Local FP server backup routines.
·  Cabling and floor port management for desks, meeting rooms and comms rooms.
·  Smart TV/Projectors setup and maintenance
·  Maintenance of the file and print server in Fetter Lane and the Cork Reservations Centre including:
·  Management of access
·  Back up management
·  Data and file size reviews
·  Ensure above premise backups are in place and running for servers in scope
·  Manage and maintains all shared servers including antivirus and patching standards:
·  File and Print server
·  Altiris server
·  SQL server
·  Switches
·  Avaya Server (Telephony)
·  Maintenance of the Business Continuity plan and tool kit
·  Responds to and makes decisions on standard/routine business requests with limited risk
·  Responsible for own work from associates in Cedar House and Paris whilst providing a contribution to the overall IT Management Team
·  Demonstrates an awareness of personal strengths and areas for improvement and acts independently to improve and increase skills and knowledge.
·  Invoice approval process
·  Approve and send all invoices to accounts department for payment within 30 days SLA
·  Management of the IT support mailboxes for Cork and Paris and ensure agreed SLAs are adhered to
·  Maark1 Compliance across Luton Cork and Paris

·  Performs other related tasks as assigned by management.
