JOB SUMMARY
Marriott is seeking a Director - Architect Technology Workplace Products to provide architectural leadership across our Global Technology Workplace Tower, including Digital Experience Management, Unified Endpoint Management, and the M365 estate. This role reports to the Vice President of Technology Workplace Products and is part of the leadership team of the Technology Workplace Products tower and plays a key role in shaping the company's overall technology workplace strategy. This pivotal role will be responsible for defining and driving the overall technology architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and fostering innovation across these domains. The successful candidate will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to design scalable, resilient, and flexible solutions that enhance our technology workplace ecosystem.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required:
· Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience/certification
· 8+ years’ experience progressive infrastructure engineering and/or architecture experience including:
· 6+ years of relevant experience with solution architecture, from concept to implementation and approval
· 5+ years of experience designing solutions for large-scale enterprise systems
· 5+ years of relevant experience with large-scale business integrations
· 3+ years of experience building and deploying applications globally in a cloud environment
· Proven experience in enterprise systems that support 99.99% service availability in SAFE Agile environment
· Experience with geographically diverse HR, Legal, and Privacy practices and standards
· Experience architecting applications that support multi-cloud providers and globally distributed user bases
· Experience leading collaborative architecture work across multiple disciplines
· Strong understanding of Digital Experience Management, Unified Endpoint Management, and M365 technologies
· Change management skills are crucial for driving adoption of new architectures and technologies
· Proficiency in Design Thinking methodologies
· Technical knowledge of various operating systems (Windows, MacOS, iOS, Android)
· Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas in user-friendly language
· Strong negotiating, influencing, and problem-resolution skills
· The successful candidate will be expected to balance innovation with compliance and security needs
· Travel may be required to support global initiatives and collaborate with international teams
