The global accounting organization supports our financial reporting, internal control, intercompany, and transfer pricing activities and also supports new business launches globally for Amazon in the consumer products, digital initiatives, merchant, operations, logistics, payments, and cloud computing lines of business.

We are currently seeking an Accounting Manager to focus on financial reporting, monthly analytics, business wide projects, and compliance in Mexico. This position will be primarily responsible for Mexico country financial reporting (electronic accounting and preparing financial reports) as well as support compliance matters (internal and external audits). This position will be based in Mexico City and report to Amazon Accounting in Seattle, Washington, USA.

Job responsibilities will include:
· Responsible for monthly, annual and ad-hoc electronic reporting per Mexican regulations
· Preparing various financial reports in support of Mexican tax filings
· Gathering and preparing documents in support of internal and external audits
· Researching and concluding on impact of new Mexican financial reporting laws
· Responsible for US GAAP to Mexican GAAP accounting adjustments
· Supporting the launching of new products and businesses in Mexico

Desired profile

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· BA/BS required
· 7+ years of relevant accounting experience
· The ability to manage cross functional projects, understanding of financial systems, and the ability to research technical accounting issues
· The ability to influence across the company
· Interpersonal and communications skills, including the ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish fluently
· Experience with Excel/Oracle/Hyperion
· 3+ years of Mexican financial and tax reporting experience
