The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina Peaceful retreat settled on Jumeirah Beach, the resort offers the perfect destination for the entire family to unwind and recharge with a breath-taking array of recreation activities, and close proximity to major Dubai local attractions. Blue Orange is an interactive, multi-functional restaurant, serving breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and supper. The emphasis of the restaurant will be placed on visual food displays in the live theatrical front of house show kitchen, offering the freshest product for each meal period.

" Eating out of the pan, off the grill and out of the wok" will best describe the restaurant concept.

Qualifications

Job responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:

· Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service

· Ability to work in a faced paced kitchen

· Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards

· Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods

· Have full and complete knowledge of the dessert menu

· Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage

· Demonstrate a complete knowledge and understanding of the food service standards

· To report for duty 5 minutes before time, clean and tidy and wearing the correct uniform as per the standard of performance manual

· To strive to anticipate client needs wherever possible and react to these to enhance client satisfaction

· To comply with Municipality regulations regarding Food Hygiene procedures.

· To be flexible in assisting around different areas of the hotel in response to business and client needs

· To perform all tasks to a consistent standard as detailed with the department standard of performance manual, and to promote within Hotel and Brand key Standards

· To attend daily briefing sessions and Hotel/Departmental meetings when required

· To attend training sessions and meeting when required and to operate in line with the training or information received

· To demonstrate a pride in workplace and a high level of commitment

Desired profile

Qualifications :

To move into this position you should have

· Minimum 2 Years' experience in 5* hotels

· Team worker with a great attitude to work under pressure

· Good conversational skill in English

· Hotel School Certificate is an advantage

· Good personality & 5* appearance

· Excellent culinary catering talent

· Cold / Hot / Asian / Continental & Banqueting experience

· Basic Food & Hygiene training certification

· Good knowledge and understanding of the kitchen and its operations

· Demonstrate energy and enthusiasm at work

· Knowledge of procedures and methods used in the preparation, production, presentation and storage of food items is required
