PR Assistant (Campaigns, Menswear, Kids, Home & Beauty)

The PR team plays a vital role in this, developing and maintaining the much-loved brand presence in the media, as well as creating new and innovative ways to bring our style stories to life. We are constantly testing and discovering new ways to engage with media and enjoy the fact that everything we do has the potential to reach millions of our customers, as well as turning heads of some new ones too.

We have a unique opportunity for a PR Assistant to join our lively, creative, collaborative and highly regarded Clothing, Home & Beauty PR Team. The role includes supporting the PR team in maintaining a high level of positive media coverage and third-party advocate support of our Campaigns, Menswear, Kids, Home & Beauty product.

This is a great role to build on your previous fashion PR experience in a highly performing, exciting team.

Your key Responsibilities will include:

·  Day to day - support the team in all day-to-day aspects of Campaigns, Menswear, Kidswear, Home & Beauty PR in line with the team plans and focuses
·  PR Calendar - ensure key PR events, product launches, business focuses, industry activity is listed
·  Organisation – keep all files and documents tidy and easy to navigate. Ensure all images are saved and named in an emailable size on the system and filed per launch date and trend
·  Samples & internal relations – effectively manage samples, selection and information by building strong relationships with BAAs and junior marketing/social teams
·  Showroom - work closely with the showroom on all media requests and manage within the showroom policy and standards
·  Media database -manage the media database ensuring all contacts are up to date. Work across the teams to ensure there is no duplication for Cross BU activity
·  Media coverage – monitor and record all media coverage for relevant reports, and circulate to internal stakeholders ensuring consistent approach across the teams
·  Industry news – stay informed with industry news, and circulate when relevant
·  Cut out imagery – manage shoot and upload of cut out imagery on PR shots, ensuring all imagery is up to date and relevant. Utilise assets across business where possible and analyse top downloads to inform future focuses
·  Written assets and data – write media alerts and social captions, prepare reports and research, collate CIU data to inform projects, and collate and edit information for briefing documents
·  Shoot and event admin – manage admin tasks associated with shoots and events, including sample management and on-site help
·  Media requests - provide samples and information service to media, liaising with senior team on response if needed
·  Media relations - build relationships with fashion assistants and relevant media and influencers to ensure opportunities are maximised
·  New ideas suggest new ways of working, new advocates and creative PR and social ideas
·  Interns - oversee work experience/interns if required
·  Ambassador – act as an ambassador of the business, reflecting the vision and values

Key skills you will need to be successful in the role:


·  Experience in PR essential
·  Self-motivation
·  Honest and down to earth attitude with a ‘can do’ approach
·  Great communication skills- written and verbal
·  Excellent organisation skills
·  A keen eye for detail
·  Love of fashion, interiors and beauty… and M&S
·  Clear understanding of brand and PR role
·  Clear understanding of plans and focuses
·  Experience of sample and image management
·  Good use of IT systems and programs
·  Creative ideas and proactive in improving ways of working
