We are looking for an experienced Department Manager to join one of our beautiful boutiques on a fixed term contract and be responsible for the Accessories Department. With a strategic focus, the role is to efficiently run the department ensuring maximum profitability, meeting department sales targets and minimising shrinkage and store operating expenses, whilst ensuring clients receive the highest standards of customer service, in line with Christian Dior expectations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SALES
>  Achievement of sales budget
>  To make the most effective use of space and stock available to the department by maximising sales and minimising wastage of resources through the team.
>  To ensure that the merchandise is displayed effectively using promotional material to reflect current demand.
>  To build up a regular clientele, call them when we have a new product and make sure that the client book is up to date.
>  Ensure that staff are trained in selling techniques and product knowledge and to ensure that there is an effective selling team within the store.
>  To handle more complicated customer complaints tactfully and effectively and in accordance with Christian Dior and Department Stores policies.
>  Awareness of competitor activity and communicate this to the team.
MERCHANDISE
>  Ensure that the department maintains the correct basic stock levels.
>  To work closely with the UK Product Manager to provide effective feedback, ensuring that popular selling lines are replenished on time.
CONTROLLABLE COSTS
>  To control stock loss within Store budget and implement stock audits effectively.
>  To ensure that the department operates in accordance with Company administration systems and procedures to minimise losses.
SECURITY
>  Ensure that the position of stock, counters and till points in the store are designed to prevent theft by customers or staff and that the Company procedures on security in relation to theft/pilferage are adhered to.
>  To report all suspected shoplifters to Loss Prevention officers.
>  To ensure that all staff are trained and know and follow the Company systems on: cash handling, credit authorisation, acceptance of cheques, arrangement of staff purchases, reporting of stock, cash and loss
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS AND STAFF TRAINING/DEVELOPMENT
>  To take part in the recruitment, training, evaluation, motivation and development of the staff.
>  To have the ability to work with other Christian Dior managers as a team.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
>  To ensure that Health and Safety policy and procedures are adhered to within the concession for both staff and customers.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
>  To maintain the highest standards of housekeeping and retail standards within the department
>  To participate in stock takes outside of normal working hours to ensure a smooth operation at all times.
>  To carry out any additional duties as directed by the Assistant Store Manager and Boutique Manager.

Desired profile

Experience required : Minimum 5 years
>  Excellent communication and networking skills
>  Previous management retail experience in the luxury goods
>  Perfect technical mastering of the different aspects of sales with an outstanding sense of customer service, initiative and commercial creativity with fashion sensitivity
>  Ability to motivate and manage a team, strong organisation skills, ability to work under pressure and prioritise, good reporting and analytical skills with computer literacy
>  Flexible, autonomous, dynamic, open-minded and self motivated.
>  Fluent spoken knowledge of another language would be an advantage
