PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Receive, milling, treating, packaging and shipping of product in an efficient and timely manner

Job description

POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
Work with various equipment processing seed, setting up equipment. Depending on time of year may work in all departments in warehouse where needed at time. Ensuring finished product from department meets HM standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assist in keeping warehouse a clean and safe environment
• Participate in the general warehouse annual inventory

Plant Operations Role (Conditioning/Treating/Packaging/Shipping & Receiving/Seed Supply)
• Responsible for maintaining, documenting, and adherences to established plant procedures (Safety, Quality, HR, etc.).
• Responsible for product quality assessments and adherence to product specifications.
• All seed picked and transported to specified area is identified accurately and checked against production order. Fill all orders per production order instructions.
• Ensure all clean-downs and changeovers are done correctly to eliminate any product mixture.
• Manage chemicals and hazardous materials to treat seed.
• Manage various equipment for seed cleaning, sizing, treating and packaging.
• Manage and maintain machine and chemical log books for the complete traceability of the product.
• Execute sampling procedures per established requirements to maintain company quality standards
• Ensure product identification throughout the process with double checks (two sets of initials)
• Print required information to complete Work Orders.
• Prepare seed for shipping and receiving.
• Maintain a preventive maintenance program for the plant equipment.

Quality Inspection Role
• Maintain integrity and accuracy in data entry and JDE or STARLIMS transactions.
• Execute sampling procedures per established requirements to maintain company quality standards.
• Responsible for product quality assessments and adherence to product specifications.
• This role can be train as a Plant Operations Role

GENERAL
• Must be able to be forklift certified
• Time-pressure and a flexible attitude regarding last minute planning changes.

Education / Experience:

Education
• Associate Degree, High School Diploma, or equivalent

Experience
• 2-5 years' experience in manufacturing and/or agricultural operations.
• Multi skill – Demonstrate knowledge of process and equipment on one or more departments, along with standard operating procedures and certifications (QAC, and others as needed.
