Position: Technical Sales/Project Manager

Job Summary:
Liebherr Automation Systems, Co. delivers complete manufacturing automation systems which constitutes a fully integrated production solution. The Technical Sales/Project Manager is accountable and responsible to lead project teams to meet or exceed project objectives and customer deliverables in relation to: quality, profitability and cost, timing and resource planning. Additionally, the Technical Sales/Project Manager manages sales activities, preparation of quotes and associated quote details, project scope, communication, and reporting activities from project inception through program life.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform Duties as the single point of contact for all technical and commercial topics relative to the successful completion of an on time project
Commercially
Manage Key Accounts.
Prepare, develop, customer clarifications on requests for quotes and all tracking of quotes with customers.
Manage budgets associated with the project with a given measurable.
Conduct market research to determine customer needs.
Establish and maintain industry contacts that lead to sales.
Research, develop, and maintain long and short range sales plans.
Manage delivery schedules of project content from internal and external sources using MS Project.
Manage engineering or content change requests and associated project impact.
Draft Purchase Requests to internal and external suppliers.
Manage customer and supplier invoices.
Communicate with key stake holders, buyers, sales team, sub suppliers, and customers.
Responsible for maintaining Commercial Financial Overview Report.
Interact with Accounts Payable and Receivable for project related money.
Assist Sales Team with project related quoting of technical detail.
Manage the overall financial status of the projects
Manage project resources as they relate to people, equipment, and materials. Lead, mentor, and motivate core team members to develop consensus, and manage conflicts. Ensure project roles and responsibilities are understood by each core team member.
Technically
Communicate with key stake holders, engineering, shop assembly, sub suppliers, and customers.
Discuss and make decisions regarding engineering detail of project related content, which include:
Drawing approvals: plant and gantry layouts, grippers, mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, sequence of operation and manufacturing systems engineering.
Lead Internal Engineering Design Reviews and release of engineering material.
Coordination of material, manpower and delivery with shop assembly and service managers for internal runoffs and customer installation sites.
Project management of the project installation.
Maintain Open Issues lists and Lessons Learned.
Coordinate risk and opportunity management planning activities by leading core team members in proactive identification, prioritization, response planning, and monitoring and controlling of project related risks to eliminate or minimize the negative impact, and opportunities to maximize positive impact the projects' targets.
Additional Duties include:
Manage manufacturing engineering documentation.
Provides technical support to manufacturing personnel.
Specify process for new programs or modify for existing programs.
Provide cost requirements for relevant programs.
Evaluate received supplier bid packages on quoted programs and report recommendations.
Monitor and provide direction throughout build/installation process.
Provide support for equipment runoff.
Qualifying Skills:
AutoCAD, MS Office
Some travel required (Domestic and International).
Excellent mechanical and/or industrial controls aptitude
Must be capable of performing duties with limited supervision.
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Strong organizational skills and able to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities.
Must be able to handle stressful / pressure situations in a professional manner.
Basic understanding of current manufacturing technology
Maintain a valid driver’s license and passport
Education/Experience
Bachelors degree in Engineering discipline (Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electrical)
3-5 years Capital Equipment Sales and Project Management experience
