Position Summary:

The Operations Supervisor serves as the frontline connection between business success and customer experience through enabling top associate performance and operational results.  Casts a positive shadow as a leader; by consistently demonstrating and advocating L Brands values.

Key Areas and Tasks:

Coaches and Develops for Success – 50%

– Consistently spends time on the floor to ensure appropriate knowledge of the work being supervised

– Recognizes the contributions of others through direct feedback and various recognition programs

– Conducts method observations based on the required cadence for all associates

– Coaches associates to maximize performance using established coaching methods

– Provides feedback to associates focusing on behaviors and results that drives learning and performance

– Follows-up with associates to assess progress on action plans and determine next steps

– Conducts Monthly Performance Reviews with each associate

– Administers and manages the corrective action process when necessary

– Seeks to understand associates' professional goals and provides development opportunities as appropriate

– Actively pursues opportunities to grow and develop personally

– Conducts safety observations in accordance with the required cadence

 

Successfully Executes Business Objectives – 20%

– Understands business and departmental objectives; develops and executes appropriate plans to achieve desired results in a timely manner

– Develops and implements the appropriate labor plan based on forecasted units and hours

– Proactively monitors, communicates and reacts to departmental changes/issues

– Ensures associates have the resources and tools needed to perform their job successfully

– Ensures that problems are solved within scope of responsibility; brings forward problems with potential solutions that require additional authority or assistance

– Is proficient in the jobs in the department and the department overall

– Continuously seeks to improve systems, processes and methods

– Identifies new opportunities for innovation

– Remains agile to the dynamics of the business

– Monitors Warehouse Management (WM) system and associated outputs; handles related issues

– Supports company goals and initiatives by facilitating the understanding and acceptance of change initiatives through their associates

– Devotes consistent time and energy to establishing and maintaining relationships with associates

Completes the Essential Administrative Tasks – 10%

– Generates, reviews, validates and actions various reports including Labor Management (LM), Kronos, departmental productivity/accuracy, safety and other vital reports

– Works with associates to resolve issues such as pay, time off requests, etc., leveraging HR Direct, support staff and others as necessary

– Adds pertinent information to safety incident reports via SAP

– Prepares for and attends daily, weekly and monthly meetings as appropriate

Qualifications

Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.  

-3-5 years of distribution or management experience.  

– Experience leading non-exempt associates.
