OVERVIEW:

Drive key merchandising strategies and tactics to grow 3 rd party merchandise categories on a consistent, profitable basis for the Digital Marketplace and stores in the incubation/test phase. These strategies and tactics are based on an understanding of Lbrands businesses & target customers in addition to the competition.  This position requires skill in cross-functional communication and relationship building, as well as excellence in operational execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· 
Create and maintain 3 rd party vendor orders for stores during merchandise incubation/test phases and the digital marketplace channel.

· 
Communicate with third-party marketplace vendors on order details and logistics.

· 
Research white space opportunities for product & vendor expansion.

· 
Help manage merchant samples for the digital marketplace and store tests.

· 
Compile feedback and analysis from cross function teams such as current assortment learnings and results.

· 
Work closely with merchandise planning counterparts on financial planning and management of the business including pre-season, in-season and long-range category plans.

· 
Support the team in preparation for key weekly business meetings & actively analyze the business to provide meaningful insights into performance - assessing category, customer, and shopping behavior specifics through analysis from multiple data systems.

· 
Leverage insights to effectively drive near-term changes to Digital Shop touchpoints (sequencing, navigation, creative assets, and marketing activity) as well as long term changes to overall strategy.

· 
Support and provides insights to Site Merchandising team for the development of a holistic seasonal digital floor plan for the site and ensuring the plan delivers a “frictionless” customer experience.

· 
Partner closely with Digital Marketing team & store teams during test phases to provide category inputs to help support external marketing campaign strategies (Email, Paid Social, Display, Search)

· 
Manage & partner on pre-launch plans and set-up for product categories.

· 
Responsible for site validation with cross-functional teams.

· 
Active curiosity to move processes and workflows forward – drive efficiencies and speed to eliminate redundancies and enhance agility.

· 
Understand the competition by conducting patterning activities that requires the shopping of benchmark competitors to identify opportunities and challenges for in-season business and future strategies (physical and virtual shops).

· 
Participate in onboarding new vendors for both digital marketplace and store tests.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

· 
2 years of merchant experience; eCommerce experience ideal but not required

· 
Strong understanding of vertically integrated retail, business acumen and retail math skills

· 
Flexibility and agility in managing complex deliverables in a fast-paced retail environment

· 
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional partners

· 
Strong communication and presentation skills (written & verbal)

· 
Systems and computer proficiency (MS Office-Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)

· 
Demonstrates an understanding of current & upcoming trends relevant to the customer and a passion for product

· 
Capability to take direction under moderate supervision and act as a self-starter

· 
Ability to multi-task and prioritize deliverables with a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced work environment
