POSITION SUMMARY 
The Associate Accounting Analyst is responsible for organizational auditing, executing and documenting of accounting practices and projects with internal controls.  Key projects and responsibilities may include activities such as:  blackbook reconciliations, payment of business licenses and vendor invoices, policy audit and compliance for cash reconciliations for store bank accounts.  The Associate Accounting Analyst will provide technical and analytical support in the areas of financial accounting and internal controls as it relates to L Brands’ accounting and financial systems and applications.  

RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Ensure timely recording of stores’ cash activity from POS and bank with in compliance with internal SOX, Anti-Corruptions and Operational Controls for (1) general ledger accuracy (2) P&L accuracy (3) audit accuracy and (4) reporting accuracy
•    Apply key accounting principles in accordance with daily work such as:  execution of payments, recording store cash income/expense, and home office cash receipts
•    Identify irregularities and variances against audit and controls criteria for store cash overages/shortages and deposit adjustments
•    Operate within SAP to input, extract and maintain data integrity
•    Independently and proactively resolve discrepancies using financial analytics and related techniques
•    Reconcile and maintain invoices/receipts, payments and bank confirmations, etc. to clear general ledger accounts.
•    Prepare monthly blackbook in accordance with account reconciliation requirement policy
•    Respond to internal and external audit requests
•    Analyze incoming questions or variances and determine routing to correct team
•    Answer/respond to internal customer and supplier inquiries
•    Assist with special projects and ad-hoc analysis
•    Identify areas of opportunity and recommend solutions for achieving optimal efficiency and effectiveness

Qualifications

•    High attention to detail coupled with analytical and auditing skills
•    Strong knowledge and application of financial and accounting principles and fundamentals

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
•    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Finance
•    1-3 years’ experience in accounting, accounts payable, finance or other related experience
•    Previous experience with SAP, beneficial
•    Strong PC skills.  Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
