The Role
lastminute.com is looking for a smart, ambitious, friendly, highly motivated and passionate PPC intern to help us improve EMEA performances across a wide range of products. We are looking for someone who is data-driven and highly organized, with programming skills and good knowledge of data structure, algorithms and statistics.
As a Data Science Intern you will report to the PPC Team Leader and help deliver customer-focused, profitable multi-category campaigns to agreed targets.

Key Responsibilities will include
• Supporting account executives in day to day management of their accounts
• Using IT skills (VBA or programming) to assist in account restructuring
• Assisting with delivering performance reports and insight to the PPC team and local market teams
• Assisting with planning, organisation, development and timely delivery of assets for Commercial and Marketing teams in the UK and Europe
• Identifying and escalating campaign performance issues to the PPC Team Leader
• Learning and adhering to PPC best practice at all times and achieving Google AdWords certification
• Developing your own product knowledge as tools/products evolve and change
• Providing cover for PPC Executives during holidays or absence

Skills and Experience - specialist technical knowledge
Essential
• Advanced Excel skills
• Degree in Computer Science, mathematics/statistics or an equivalent qualification
• Programming skills
• Good knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and statistics
Desirable
• Business understanding and online marketing experience a plus
• GAP qualified
• SQL and database experience a plus
• Ideally a second language (French, German, Spanish, Italian)
