Portland Warehouse Picker
SalonCentric, a subsidiary of L’Oreal USA , is the premiere distributor in the United States of salon professional products. Through its hundreds of stores, national field sales force and sub-distribution network, SalonCentric promotes the finest professional beauty brands and educates stylists on the latest products and trends
We are seeking a Warehouse, Picker to work from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. hours Monday through Friday at our Portland, Oregon warehouse. This full time position is located at 11419 SE Foster Rd, Portland, OR 97266.
SUMMARY:
General responsibilities include picking and packing of products to our store/salon customers at minimum performance levels. The individual’s normal work hours are Monday through Friday. It will be necessary for this individual to work outside of their normal scheduled hours; according to business needs. Overtime must be approved by your manager.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maintain work areas to ensure they are kept clean and free of debris. Pallet locations are to be down-stacked and fronted properly while picking
· Cross train in the shipping department for additional coverage
· Administers on time and accurate breakdown of pre-packs requested by Purchasing, as required.
· Must be able to meet department productivity KPI standards.
· Good work ethic and ability to interface effectively with others in the company.
· All work areas must be kept clean and free of debris.
· Individual may be assigned to other warehouse duties as needed.
· Performs other tasks and duties as needed upon request by manager.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (To include relevant work experience, competencies and education requirements):
· High School Diploma or GED strongly desired
· Ability to speak and understand English
· Must have basic reading & writing skills to read labels, literature, policy manuals etc.
· Ability to learn use of computer and radio frequency devices (RF gun or wearable wrist scanner).
· Must be reliable and on-time to work each day.
· Must be able to meet department standards for productivity, quality, pick time
· Good work ethics and ability to interface effectively with others in a fast-paced team environment.
· Must wear protective eyewear, footwear, hand protection (gloves) and safety vests
· Abide by all safety rules and expectations
· Attention to detail is a must – the customer must receive an accurate, damage free and properly labeled order
