POSITION SUMMARY:  Responsible for picking product to the processing belt or palletizing finished goods as required to ensure the timely processing of daily order requirements.  Operation of powered industrial equipment and utilization of a radio frequency (RF) device to assure accurate and timely receipt / picking of materials may also be required.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  Provides expedited movement of materials from receipt through shipment including but not limited to the following: Loading / unloading materials (product, supplies, equipment, etc.); Receipt of inventory and non-inventory materials, using problem solving ability to resolve receipt issues; Stock transfer or delivery to work centers;  Complies with all shipping regulations;  Provide efficient and accurate processing of returned merchandise; Replenishes pick zones; Performs general warehouse maintenance and cleanliness; Performs inspections of powered industrial equipment; Adheres to all safety and emergency policies and procedures; Completes all work accurately in an organized and timely manner in accordance with production standards; Performs other duties as assigned; Interacts with all departments and levels of employees at the facilities.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED:

 

Education:  High school diploma or GED required.

 

Experience:   Prior experience with powered industrial equipment (ie. Forklift) and radio frequency scanners.  Must have a proven track record of safe Material Handling Equipment operations. Must be able to quickly and accurately read, distinguish and match letters, numbers or series of numbers within established production standards. Able to work freely among all three levels of the pick tower locations up to 30 feet from the ground level.  Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 38 pounds, climb up and down from equipment including stairs, read gauges, shift gears, depress pedals, turn controls and stand and/or sit for prolong periods of time (up to 12 hours per shift). Frequent reaching, bending, squatting, twisting, gripping and grasping. Repetitive and strenuous finger and hand movements. Must be able to work a flexible work schedule to meet changing business needs including the willingness to work overtime on a volunteer, mandatory or short notice basis including weekends and extended shifts.
