L'Oréal Australia's Operations includes our Warehouse, Customer Care, Master Data and Supply Chain teams. These teams work in partnership with our Divisions to ensure we continuously improve our supply chain and achieve greater agility and efficiency to meet the needs of our distributor customers. Operations have an important responsibility to focus on uncompromising standards of quality control, employee safety and our environmental commitments.

About the role

In this role, you are presented with a fantastic opportunity of joining the Luxury Division team as a Junior planner, reporting to the Planning manager. This would allow you to have a first exposure to Supply chain and Operations at L'Oréal, building your understanding of supply chain systems and flows, as well as working in close collaboration with business partners across marketing, finance and commercial functions.

In this role, you will be in charge of demand and supply planning for one of our cosmetics brands distributed exclusively by one of our major retailer.

Key accountabilities are:

·  Working closely with retail partner to align forward purchase plans and closely manage stock orders from factory to delivery.
·  Timely and accurate procurement of stock from international factory. Monitoring of inventory levels against targets defined for the supply portfolio.
·  Managing and preventing excess stock, identifying slow moving and potential obsolete SKUs for the supply portfolio.
·  Anticipate supply issues, mitigate and pro-actively communicate to the business and retailer.

You will also be in charge of managing the invoicing process & providing support to the supply team:

·  Integration of despatch file and invoices received from factory in our system
·  Lead process improvement and automation of this process
·  Liaison with freight forwarders on shipment tracking
·  Support to planning manager and rest of team on other system or process improvements.

About you

The successful applicant will have prior experience and/or education within the Supply & Demand space, have a strong work ethic and focus on achieving results, be capable of managing complexity in a high pressure environment, and be able to effectively communicate meaningful information to different areas of the business (including top management) in a confident and articulate manner. A considerable analytical skill set will be highly regarded as will a collaborative mind-set.

Previous experience in working with retailers will be advantageous as will being familiar with SAP or other ERP systems.
