Part of the L'Oréal group, The Body Shop International is a natural and ethical beauty brand, with 3050 stores in 66 markets around the world, operating through a multi-channel retail strategy, including stand-alone stores, global travel retail locations and e-commerce sites.

Mission:

Lead the product development program (NPDor reformulation) for the Fragrance category, from marketing brief to production batch, respecting The Body Shop quality standard on time and budget. Your personal contribution will be critical to enhance our innovation plans in strong collaboration with others functions in The Body Shop and L'Oreal.

YourResponsibilities:

Lead all the different phases of the product development process, including manufacturing bulk on a lab scale, creating formulas and amending them following stability and challenge test results.

Brief our sub contractors to develop the best formula in terms of quality, performance, innovation and price in the timing.

Monitor projects progress against timing with sub contractors, L'Oreal Labs and manage the relations with all key stakeholders (marketing, packaging, development team etc.).

Support the delivery of the NPD programme and innovation, animating innovation forums or liaising with the brand team to enhance our ability to create groundbreaking innovations.

Consistently broaden expertise from raw materials to formulation to drive excellent product innovation projects.

Build a strong network with other functions in The Body Shop which are involved in product development and with the wider L'Oreal and external stakeholders panorama.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:

Good understanding of ingredients, including regulatory & development restrictions

Financial and commercial awareness of supply chain dymamics

Knowledge of global cosmetic regulations

Awareness of claim substantiation requirements

Proven ability to manage stakeholders and projects
