Job description

  We are looking for a skilled SharePoint developer who, along with our excellent software development team, will be responsible for working on projects that are currently being developed on by our company.
·  Your responsibilities will include gathering user requirements, defining system functionality and writing code. Our ideal candidates are familiar with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to tests and deployment.
·  As a SharePoint developer, you will be in charge of collaborating and sharing knowledge and expertise. Proposing and implementing ideas and system improvements must be part of your arsenal.
·  Ultimately, the role of the SharePoint developer is to build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software that complies with coding standards and technical design of KPMG.

The perfect candidate

You meet most of the following requirements:

·  Bachelor's degree or equivalent (an intriguing reason for not having one can be an asset),
·  Strong analysis and problem-solving skills. You are self-directed and detail oriented,
·  You should know how to create software that's extensible, reusable and meets desired architectural objectives,
·  Strong track record in SharePoint development,
·  Knowledge of .NET technologies and related patterns: MVC, services architectures like Web Services or Web API,
·  Experience with Version Control Systems like TFVC or Git,
·  Knowledge of Microsoft SQL. Comfortable writing and analyzing complex queries and stored Procedures,
·  Use object-oriented design (OOD) patterns for separation of concerns, code reusability, security, and performance,
·  Experience with Microsoft server technologies such as IIS a minimum,
·  Fluent in English; French or German would be considered as an advantage.

Your skills or knowledge in some of the following will be considered as an asset

·  Software development best practices and methodologies such as Scrum or XP,
·  Basic knowledge of one of the SQL tools (SSRS, SSIS or SSAS) is considered an asset,
·  Frontend Framework such as Angular or React is an asset,
·  Experience with test-driven development, unit testing, and knowledge on security aspects of software engineering,
·  Experience with UML, Data modeling or Application architectures (3 tier, etc.).
