Job description

We are immediately looking for an Immigration Administrator to join our Immigration Law group to support on daily clerical and administrative activities. You will be part of a busy, fast paced and ever changingenvironment. We need proactive individuals who areeffective communicators, have proven written and proofreading skills as well asa high attention to detail. Your keen interest in theImmigration field is highly welcomed.

Role and Responsibilities

Immigration :

·  Assist the Law Group withadministrative tasks as required.
·  Research the appropriate legal documents required for the application process and prepare instruction document lists accordingly.
·  Prepare and/or review all collected forms and documents for accuracy and consistency.
·  Assist with obtaining legal documents (birth certificates, police clearances etc).
·  Manage files for the cancellation of work permits.
·  Prepare supporting documents (letters, application forms etc.)
·  Make trips to various consulates to submit and/or pick up documents.
·  Manage and co-ordinate the legalization of documents.
·  Conduct all work within established time standards.
·  Handle a high volume of immigration-related matters.
·  Develop an informative communication stream with immigration administrators/lawyers.
·  Any duties assigned by the Immigration Administrator/lead lawyer.

Administration:

·  Ensure that all client correspondence, documents and relevant data fields are recorded in internal database.
·  Collect invoices, annotate billing codes, and submit to Global Team billing upon receipt.
·  Send files to billing once the immigration process is complete.
·  Filing, faxing, photocopying and mailing/courier.
·  Any other administrative responsibilities as required.

Skills & Qualifications

Required Experience:

•2-3 years of immigration experience.
•College or University degree an asset.
•Writing in a legal work environment an asset.

·  Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills within a fast-paced environment.
·  Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
·  Ability to multi-task and meet aggressive deadlines.
·  Strong organizational and computer skills.
·  Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
·  Computer proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
·  Ability to locate and research information efficiently, to use it effectively, and to evaluate the quality of the information.
·  Ability to work with minimal supervision.
·  Highly motivated.
·  Ability to communicate responsibly and promote effective working relationships.
·  Knowledge of immigration practices and procedures an asset.
