Role overview

KPMG’s client-facing learning team are looking for a creative, ambitious, visual learning designer who can design and develop high quality engaging content to support the delivery of learning solutions.

You should have experience in designing and developing digital content in a range of formats, including:

• 2D animations
• Video recording and editing
• Infographics
• e-Learning development

You should also be experienced in the creation of marketing and communication materials such as promotional videos and documents.

Key role responsibilities


• Use graphic design tools to design and develop highly engaging, informative learning products
• Support the ideation of a project’s visual identity during creative meetings, and apply these standards across all content development
• Interpret storyboards and scripts to create visually engaging content, using experience to recommend appropriate solution format and design approach
• Advise Instructional Designers on best practice for visual design to further enhance our learning products, while maintaining quality and meeting agreed cost and timeframes
• Self and peer review assets produced against style guides and storyboards in terms of design and functionality
• Work with Lead Instructional Design Developer/Project Managers to estimate completion times
• Use technical experience to communicate innovative designs to key stakeholders, and confidently challenge others when more effective solutions could be developed
• Demonstrate commercial awareness when planning build. Focus on quality as well as commerciality
• Passionate about learning, creativity and design, keeping abreast with latest design and technology trends
• Share knowledge, best practice and lessons learnt from projects with the rest of the team, including harvesting assets for re-use on future projects

Technical skills:

The successful candidate will also demonstrate the following essential skills:


• Experience in delivering innovative, compelling visual designs across a range of formats including digital, video, and print
• Highly proficient in graphic design software, preferably using the Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop / Illustrator / After Effects / Premiere
• Proficient in eLearning rapid development tools: e.g. Storyline 3 / Captivate 9.
• Experience working in a client-focused environment, with excellent collaboration skills and a flexible approach
• Ability to manage own workload across a range of projects, prioritising key tasks and managing internal and external stakeholders expectations of delivery when necessary

The following skills are also desirable:

• Experience in applying User Experience principles when creating proofs and content, using UX tools such as Adobe XD
• Understanding of adult learning theories, experience in developing visual content for educational purposes
• Ability to product, record and edit single-camera and multi-camera videos
• Ability to use simple coding language
• Experience in project management to organise and lead on personal work activities
• Experience working with colleagues across different time zones to deliver solutions collectively
• Experience in developing content to meet internationally recognised accessibility standards
