Job Description

The role is to act as the Staff Counsellor across Financial Services Audit. This person will be the first line of defence for the wellbeing of our staff and will ideally be a trained/qualified counsellor.

The role requires the ability to engage a range of individuals and to demonstrate discretion and good judgement. The individual will need to have a broad awareness of the range of support organisations and the types of support available for a wide range of issues.

The job holder will work alongside the Head of Performance and Operations, members of the FS Audit Leadership team and the Performance Leaders (PL’s) to drive changes that benefit wellbeing and roll out support mechanisms.
The role requires initiative, flexibility and discretion. The individual will need to be confident, assertive and have the ability to prioritise their own workload.

This will be an initial 12 month fixed term contract with a view to going permanent after this point.

Roles and responsibilities

The main aspect of the role is to provide wellbeing support to our staff so that they are able to deliver the highest quality service for our clients. Some key areas of responsibility are listed below:

Use both targeted effort and be identifiable as someone that people can talk to about wellbeing and other issues. Help people deal with stressful situations including demanding workloads, multiple priorities and learning requirements Raise awareness of the role and different types of support available

Necessary experience and skills

Overall, the candidate should be approachable and able to engage a wide range of people, raising awareness of their role and the range of support available to staff members.

Counselling skills and experience
Relevant qualifications

Ability to network successfully

Tenacious with strong influencing skills and diplomacy
Flexible in approach and ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities
