About the team and responsibilities

CFOs constantly strive to balance multiple priorities, optimizing the available financial, technical, and human resources. In addition to the traditional role of overseeing the finance function, the role is more and more expanding towards supporting corporate strategy, growing and driving business performance and developing trust with external stakeholders.

KPMG's CFO Advisory team supports CFOs in their quest to maximize their finance function's performance and increase its value to the business, looking at the internal organization, the processes and the systems in place as well as business partnering opportunities. Our team is composed of 25 people advising clients across all sectors of the economy: Banking, Asset Management, Insurance, Corporates, Industry as well as the Public sector.

Your role as a Consultant - CFO Advisory department

As an experienced Consultant in Banking for our CFO Advisory Team, you will:

•Participate to transformation projects within the finance function of banks and other financial service providers. These projects will include finance process optimization, selection and implementation of accounting and reporting software, impact assessment and implementation of new regulations impacting finance.
•Contribute to the development of our service offering, in line with evolving market needs and opportunities. This will be done by taking a sector-based approach, in collaboration with KPMG professionals from different functions within the firm.
•Participate in the development and coaching of our junior staff.

The perfect candidate

•You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, or any other relevant domain.
•You can demonstrate at least 3 years of experience either in a bank or in a top tier advisory or audit firm, with a banking focus.
•You have developed a strong knowledge of accounting & reporting processes and / or experience in transformation projects within the banking industry. Experience in other financial service sectors or in risk management is considered a plus.
•Your have been exposed to regulatory reporting (FINREP/COREP) or you would like to develop skills in this area.
•Basic knowledge of main banking regulations (CRR, CRDIV) is needed
•Experience with regulatory reporting software is a plus
•You have strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
•You are fluent in English and French or German.
