Job Description

The Role

- ** The role will be based from either our London or Watford offices***

Reporting to Environment Manager in the Corporate Responsibility Team, you will assist with the delivery of the environment strategy, working on a range of sustainability and environmental issues.
This role involves supporting the Environment Manager in delivery of projects with a number of teams including facilities management, engineering, procurement, finance and workplace managers across the UK KPMG sites
This role requires strong team working and collaboration skills, comfort with complex data and information, strong employee engagement skills and above all a commitment to excellent delivery.

Responsibilities

- Support the implementation of KPMG environmental strategy in order to minimise our environmental impacts
- Manage and monitor environmental performance quarterly and annually against KPIs to internal and external reporting systems
- Lead the external assurance process of environmental data. Identify improvements and ensure corporate reporting is accurate and complies with most up to date government guidance
- Manage the ISO14001 Environmental Management System (EMS), leading external audits, managing the day to day running of the system, organising training and working with local Workplace teams to ensure implementation across all sites
- Support the implementation of new environmental improvement projects, working with a range of stakeholders across the firm
- Manage KPMGs legal environmental disclosures
- Support the Environment manager with award submissions, external environmental disclosure requests and PQQs
- Co-ordinate the Environmental Champions across the firm, helping to upskill them on environmental matters and encourage them to take action in their local area
- Support with environmental communications across the firm, including intranet and newsletters
- Support the Environmental Steering group, preparing documentation as required
- Manage requests from clients on KPMGs performance
- Support the Environment Manager on adhoc projects
- Work with the wider Corporate Responsibility team to support events, projects and initiatives as required.

The individual

- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline, ideally to include an environmental element
- Experience in an environmental or sustainability role
- Excellent project management and organisational skills, delivering high quality work
- Experience of staff engagement on environmental issues
- Experience of handling complex data sheets and good analytical and numeracy skills
- Experience of providing statistical analysis and performance reporting on environmental KPIs
- Experience of ISO14001 certification process
- Experience of providing statistical analysis and performance reporting on environmental KPIs
- Experience of preparing environmental information for annual report and internal reporting systems
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrable ability to communicate assertively with internal stakeholders in writing and in person
- Flexible approach, willing to support on a variety of different initiatives
- Ability to communicate and engage with a wide range of internal and external contacts
- A team player, who can work in collaboration and is enthusiastic and supportive
- Willingness to travel UK
