Job description
The role and responsibilities
1. Proofreads and edits externally-appearing KPMG texts (e.g. thought leadership, brochures, surveys, proposals, articles, invitations, newsletters, webpages, etc.). Ensures that each text is :
· grammatically and syntactically sound,
· pitched appropriately for the intended audience in tone and formality,
· in compliance with KPMG's global style guidelines,
2. Assists in video production for KPMG TV
· Conceptualises business ideas as videos,
· Writes scripts with key messaging in mind,
· Provides editorial feedback to the digital team,
3. Provides creative input on an as-needed basis
· Actively participates to brainstorming meetings,
· Consults on other projects in the MIC department,
The perfect candidate
· Has a degree in English Literature or Linguistics,
· Has a strong technical command of English writing, i.e. grammar, syntax, and punctuation,
· Is able to manipulate tone and style in English writing (e.g. adding voice to an invitation while maintaining its formality, or putting a survey draft into more academic language),
· Has a good command of Microsoft Office programmes (especially Word),
